The new executive and management committees of Umuahia Sports Club have been elected, with Sir Pat Mgbemena re-elected as the president of the club.

Other elected members of the sports club includes; Mr Eme Chukwuemeka, Vice president, Dr. Sylvester Ibeneme, General secretary, Architect Chidi Igwe, Assistant General Secretary, Chief L.O Ukatta, Social Secretary, and Mr. P O F Anyim, financial secretary.

The rest are Coach Okoronkwo Emmanuel, sports secretary, Sir Sylvester Egwu, warden, Sir Daniel Chidi Umeakunwa, Treasurer, Mr. Okezie Chidiebere, Bar secretary, Mr. Okey Ozochi, grill secretary, Elder Chuks Onuigbo, officio, and Mr Maduabuchi Chukwu ex officio.

Speaking during the election, the members of the Electoral panel including Prof S.B.C Amajor, Sir Paul Ezeanyagu and Sir Lawrence Ifediora, who are also patrons of the club commended members of the club and contestants for conducting themselves peacefully, describing the election as free fair and peaceful

They congratulated the new executives and management of the club and urged them to sustain the momentum of moving the Umuahia Sports Club forward.

Responding on behalf of the newly elected executives and management of Umuahia Sports Club, the President, Sir Pat Mgbemena, thanked members of Umuahia Sports Club for the confidence reposed on them and urged the members to give them maximum support to achieve the set objectives of the club, by belonging to one sporting activity In the club.

Sir Mgbemena used the medium to enumerate some of the achievements of the past executives and management of the club, of which he was also the president, and assured that the next two years of their tenure would witness tremendous growth in the club.
