ABIA – The Governor, Dr Alex Otti says he will not relent in ensuring the infrastructural development of all nooks and crannies of the State.

Governor Otti who stated this during the Abia Central Elected and Appointed Officers of Labour Party Happy Hour and Interactive Session at the Ndoro Central School, Ndoro Oboro, Ikwuano Local Government Area, described the present administration as sincere and committed to tackling the challenges facing the people at the grassroots.

The Governor represented by Senator Darlington Nwokocha, noted that extending the development to the rural areas will go a long way in enhancing Agricultural produce as well as bring governance closer to rural people.

He pointed out that imbalance in schools is reason for the delay in kicking off the reconstruction of two hundred and seventy one schools across the State, noting that construction of three hundred healthcare Centres will soon commence to help the people in the rural areas access quality healthcare and called on Abians not to relent in their support for the present administration.

Speaking, the Member Representing Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Chief Ginger Onwusibe, commended the people of Ikwuano for their support for Governor Otti and all Labour Party candidates during the last general elections, describing the performance of the Governor as a clear indication of what Labour Party is capable of.

Responding, the Deputy Speaker, State House of Assembly, Mr Augustine Mmeregini stressed that the program is organized to extend hands of fellowship to the people, considering the condition of Nigeria’s economy, adding that government has done well in all sectors and promised to complement the efforts of the Governor.

Contributing, the Member representing Ikwuano State Constituency at the State House of Assembly, Mr. Boniface Isienyi and the Mayor of Ikwuano, Mr. Osinachi Nwaka, commended Governor Otti for embarking on the construction of eleven kilometre Onuiyang, Okporoenyi ring road and promised to always engage in activities that will complement the efforts of the Governor in infrastructural development.

In their remarks, the representatives of the Four Clans in Ikwuano, including, Elder Uche Achugbuo, Chief Uche Okoro, Mr. Henry Eleogu and Sir Friday Eluwa called on the Governor to look into the deplorable roads and erosion sites in Ikwuano and expressed delight in his performance so far in the State.
