The Chief of Staff to Abia State Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba has charged Abia students to eschew acts capable of jeopardizing their future.
Pastor Ajagba who gave the charge when he received the Student Union Government Executive of Abia State Polytechnic Aba at Government House Umuahia, described education as the bedrock to success.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor noted that the Dr Alex Otti led administration in the state is passionate in building a gender balanced legacy and committed to improving the educational standard, quality of healthcare service delivery, empower the youths and ensure the girl child continues to get their pride of place in the state.
He further congratulated the excos on their successful elections and assured them of governments support in their programs.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Dr Kenechukwu Nwosu enjoined the students to remain focused, be good ambassadors of the state as well as take their studies seriously.
In her address, the Vice President, SUG Abia State Polytechnic Aba, Comrade Victoria Ofoegbu while commending Governor Alex Otti for his numerous developmental strides across the state, said they came to intimate and seek governments support in their proposed program tagged, “The Role of Women in Leadership”, slated to hold on the 17th of this month at the campus premises.
Our correspondent reports that the meeting which featured prayers for the state government attracted the presence of some government officials.
