Over 500 APGA Members Defects To PDP In Abia

Dr Agbazuere who stated this while hosting the PDP Isialangwa South L.G.A cum formal reception of over 500  decampees from APGA to the PDP reminded all that Abia is a PDP State and that they should ensure that the party continues to grow in lips and bounds. 

The Chief of Staff while enumerating some of the outstanding achievements of the PDP led administration in the state under Governor Okezie Ikpeazu stressed the need for all to join hands with the state Exco of the party  towards a resounding victory at the National and state levels come 2023.

In his speech, the State PDP Chairman, Chief Asiforo Okere while welcoming the decampees drawn from  Isialangwa North and South and Osisioma L.G.A’s commended them for taking the bold step to return back to the party also assured them that the umbrella is large enough to accommodate everybody. 

Contributing, the Special Adviser to the Governor on General Duties, Elder Erondu Uchenna Erondu, the Isialangwa South PDP L.G.A Chairman, Sir Edwin Ihejirika disclosed that the PDP has remained peaceful without rancour and acrimony also  expressed hope that their defection to the PDP will take the party to an enviable height. 

Responding, some of the decampees including the Isialangwa South L.G.A  APGA Chairman, Mr Fineface Oguobi, his Isialangwa North counterpart, Mr Martins Onwuka, the Osisioma Ngwa L.G.A AGPA chairman, Mr Samuel Nkoro among others while denouncing their APGA memberships said their decision to join the PDP is based on the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s developmental and infrastructural strides across the state, pledged their total support to the party. 

Crystal News Correspondent reports that the meeting which attracted the member representing Isialangwa North and South Federal Constituency, Chief Darlington Nwokocha, the member representing Isialangwa north state Constituency, Chief Ginger Onwusibe, PDP state and L.G.A Excos, traditional rulers among others featured the destruction of the AGPA  decampees party register and membership cards as well as the distribution of bags of rice to the ten INEC wards in Isialangwa South L.G.A courtesy of the Chief of Staff.
