ABIA – The Chief of Staff to Abia State Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba has called on the newly elected executive of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees NULGE, Abia State Council, to partner with government in driving down to the grassroots the policies and programs of the present administration in the state.

Pastor Ajagba who made the call at Government House Umuahia when he received the new state executive of NULGE led by the President, Lady Linda Unaeze, identified the union as critical agents of governance.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor disclosed that the administration of Dr Alex Otti is passionate about what happens at the grassroot, pointing out that the LGAs, as a third tier of government has a role to play in the rebuilding agenda of Governor Otti.

 

He congratulated the new executive on their election victory and enjoined them not to betray the confidence reposed in them by their members while assuring them of government’s support.

 

In her address, the new state NULGE President, Lady Linda Unaeze, said they came to present the new executive to the Chief of Staff to the Governor as well as appreciate him for his valuable contributions in assisting the Governor realize his vision of a new and better Abia that everyone will be proud of.

 

Lady Unaeze commended the state government for its developmental strides across the state and promised that they will continue to prioritize the interest of their members as well as partner government to enable them succeed in office.

 

In a vote of thanks, the state Public Relations Officer of NULGE, Mr Ugochukwu Oduogu thanked the Chief of Staff to the Governor for his fatherly advice and warm reception accorded them and pledged their unalloyed support to the present administration in the state.
