The remains of High Chief Abraham Ede has been laid to rest at his country home, Isienu Amagunze in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State.
In his tribute during the funeral service in honour of the deceased organized by the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Agbani Circuit, Enugu State, the first son of the deceased, The Reverend Ede Sunday John Tobechukwu described his late father, High Chief Abraham Ede as a great Iroko, loving, jovial, easy going, community leader and devoted christian who dedicated his life while alive to the service of God and humanity pointing out that
his death has created a big vacuum in their hearts.
Contributing, the second son of the deceased and South East Zonal Commander, Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Very Reverend Ede Emmanuel. E (JP, AGI, MIIPS), appreciated God Almighty for the life of his late father adding that he will be greatly missed by all even at the ripe age of 92.
In their separate speeches, the Deputy Commander, VGN Abia State Command, Chief Ahaiwe C, the State Assistant Commander Finance, Hon. Utonwa Amobi, the Abia Central Zonal Commander, Hon. Okiyi among others while describing death as a necessary end for all mortals charged the bereaved family not to cry as those without hope but take solace in the fact that their late father lived a life worthy of emulation.
They further used the forum to call on the family members to remain united in love and continue to uphold the good legacies left behind by their father while praying God to grant the Ede family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Crystal News Correspondent reports that those present during the funeral service were gallant officers and men of the Vigilante Group Of Nigeria (VGN) South East Commands, the clergy, friends, well wishers among others.
