Gov Otti Has Transformed Abia Positively Within A Short Period – Pastor Ajagba
ABIA – The Chief of Staff to Governor Alex Otti, Pastor Caleb Ajagba has restated the state government’s readiness to partner the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN in enhancing the overall well-being of the citizens.
Pastor Ajagba who stated this at Government House Umuahia when he received the executive of CAN, South East Zone, disclosed that Governor Otti has through his developmental strides, transformed the state positively within a short time in office.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor enumerated some of the achievements of the present administration in the state to include the recent liquidation of pension arrears owed pensioners in the state by previous administrations, construction and reconstruction of roads, remodeling of schools, improved healthcare services, disbursement of revolving interest free loans, training of over 300 Abians on various agricultural food chains at CSS farms Nasarawa state, improved security among other laudable initiatives.
He also commended the leadership of CAN in the zone and state for their sustained prayers and support for the government of Dr Alex Otti in the state and enjoined them to come up with quality programs that will help enlighten and position them effectively for leadership positions.
In his address, the leader of the delegation and Secretary of CAN South East, Venerable Dr J.C. Agbo while applauding Governor Otti for the breathe of freshness and ongoing reformation in the state especially in the areas of infrastructural development and security, disclosed that his exemplary leadership has elevated Abia to a place of pride in the comity of progressive states across the nation.
Venerable Agbo disclosed that they came to rub minds together with political leaders in South East Zone ahead of their proposed Stakeholders Security Summit
with a view to building up the security architecture in the zone.
Also speaking, the state CAN Chairman, Rev. Ojo Ojo Uduma and the CAN Zonal Youth Chairman, Chaplain Prince Kalu explained that the proposed Stakeholders Security Summit will afford them the opportunity to share with political leaders, traditional rulers, Civil Society Organizations, Captains of Industries among others on how the church intends to partner with government and other relevant organizations in ensuring safety of lives and property across the zone.
In a vote of thanks, the CAN Vice Chairman, Apostle A.O Aboh while describing Governor Otti as the answer to the prayers of Abians, thanked him for sticking to his campaign promises and assured him of the associations support.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Religious Matters, Apostle Kenneth Wiper, his Labour Affairs counterpart, Sir Godson Anucha among other top government officials were present during the visit.
