Britains Mirror reported a bizarre and horrific case of murder Thursday.
The killer was Satya thakor, a British man who pretended to be a doctor for seven years.
At the time when the lies were exposed, he cruelly cut his wife, mother-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, just to postpone an affordable family trip.
Tuckers lies go back to his college days. He did study medicine, but in fact, he failed to complete medical courses and was not qualified to become a doctor. He lied to his fiancee that he had succeeded in becoming a qualified doctor and found a doctor s job.
With the wedding looming, Tucker had to find a way to hide the fact that there was no income.
In order to cancel his honeymoon trip, he planned a car accident on the morning of his wedding, driving into the central reservation of M4 highway.
As a result, the wedding had to be postponed to later that day, and the honeymoon trip was cancelled as a matter of course.
After the marriage, Tucker s lies continued. He went out early and came back late every day, pretending to work as a doctor, but actually he went to the local library and read medical textbooks.
British prosecutors revealed. One Christmas, he said he had to go to work and come back later. When asked why he looked depressed, he said they lost a patient that day.
Even after the birth of his daughter, Tucker lived entirely on his wife s income throughout the marriage. He told her that as a doctor, he would save his income to buy a house.
In this way, the lies lasted for seven years, and tucker could always come up with various reasons for prevarication. Until May last year, the family planned to fly to Los Angeles for a holiday. In the last week before the lie came out, Tucker raised his knife to his family.
When the police arrived, Tucker tried to finish the last lie before he was arrested – he claimed to have seen demons in his family, and he wanted to pierce them to drive them away. The lie was soon broken because no one had heard him scold the devil before the police arrived.
After a 10 day trial in the reading criminal court, Tucker was found guilty of three attempted murders involving his wife, mother-in-law and uncle-in-law. At the same time, he was convicted of deliberately harming his sister-in-law, risika Lakshman.
Bernard Tetlow QC, Tucker s lawyer, said the defendant s lies were born out of his inability to accept his failure.
