Nottingham Forest manager, Nuno Espirito Santo has shared his insights into why his team secured a 1-0 win over Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday.
Santo witnessed a decisive second-half goal from Callum Hudson-Odoi that earned Nottingham Forest a hard-fought victory at Anfield.
In his post-match comments, Santo highlighted the key factors behind the win, attributing it to his team’s defensive organization, disciplined tackling, and strategic coverage against Liverpool’s attack.
“The players’ commitment was crucial, given the quality of Liverpool,” Santo told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“Our success here was built on solid organization and relentless effort.”
“Starting with wingers Neco Williams and Elliot Anderson, who worked tirelessly against Liverpool’s full-backs, demanded a lot of energy. We needed fresh legs, and they delivered,” He said.
“We’re dedicated to improving and fostering belief in our strategy,” Santo added.
