BREAKING: Gov Alia Appoints Deborah Aber as New SSG
The Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia, has confirmed the appointment of Barr. Aber Serumun Deborah as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
This decision follows the resignation of Prof. Joseph Alakali, who stepped down on Monday to address personal matters.
In a statement released on Tuesday by Sir Tersoo Kula, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
It was highlighted that Barr. Aber is a distinguished solicitor and arbitrator known for her proactive approach and sharp analytical skills.
“She is a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal abilities, always striving for excellence and aiming to contribute positively to organizational growth,” Kula stated.
“Her goal is to work in a challenging and esteemed environment that upholds professionalism.”
The statement further noted that Barr. Aber is an alumnus of both the University of Jos and Nasarawa State University.
Governor Alia expressed confidence in her abilities, believing her experience and reliable service record will bring great value to his administration.
“He urges her to stay focused and ensure that her duties align with the administration’s vision as laid out in the working document.”
The Governor also advised her to consistently prioritize the state’s best interests in her official responsibilities.
According to the release, the appointment is with immediate effect.
