BREAKING: Abia Government To Commence Dualization Of Owerrinta, Waterside Umuoba Roads Soon

Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti says the four Lanes Daulization of Owerrinta and Waterside Umuoba Road would commence soon.

Governor Otti stated this during the official opening and dedication of Abia ICT Centre of Studies and SSM Mall of Abia GSM and Components Dealers Association at GSM Village, Danfodio/Etche Road by Kent Street Aba.

The Governor represented by the Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr Chima Oriaku noted that his administration handed the reconstruction of Port Harcourt Enugu Road Aba to a reputable construction company Julius Berger, assuring that the road would get to the boundary with Rivers State.

He reiterated that skill acquisition, poverty alleviation, job creation and Capacity building remain the hallmark of his administration and commended the Abia GSM & Components Dealers Association for complementing his administrations resolve to enhance the potential and ingenuity of Abia youths through Technology know how.

In his remarks, the President, Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, ACCIMA, Chief Jerry Kalu commended Abia GSM and Components Dealers Association Aba, for erecting such magnificent edifice that would provide learning and training for the youths to equip themselves with knowledge and skills needed to ignite a wave of innovation and economical empowerment.

In his Keynote Address, the Chairman, Abia GSM and Components Dealers Association, Aba, Chief George Ezeibekwe disclosed that the ICT centre has 480 Standard 16*2 sized shops, a diploma awarding institution that has the capacity to train over five thousand youths in different fields of digital skill acquisition annually.

Chief Ezeibekwe further appealed to Governor Otti to extend his road rehabilitation exercise to the adjoining roads leading to the centre for easy access and approve a security post within the Complex.

In his word of exaltation, the Founder and General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, Pastor Lazarus Muoka reminded people that any Foundation without God’s Approval would not stand and enjoined all to always acknowledge God in order to succeed in life.

Correspondent Reports that the ceremony attracted the presence of Speaker Abia State House of Assembly, Chief Emmanuel Emereuwa, Commissioner for Trade, Commerce and Industry, Dr. Chimezie Ukaegbu, his Digital Economy and SME counterpart, Mr. Mathew Ekwuruibe, top government officials and captains of industry .
