ABIA – The Chief of Staff to Abia State Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba has charged youths to stand firm in their values, show compassion to others and seek wisdom through prayers.

Pastor Ajagba who gave the charge at the St Luke’s Anglican Church, Osusu in Isiala Ngwa North LGA during the 13th Annual Diocesan Bible Study conference of the Anglican Youth Fellowship, Diocese of Isiala Ngwa, harped on the need for them to embrace their faith with courage and integrity.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor while describing youths as an integral part of Governor Alex Otti administration, disclosed that Abia today is now a reference point for good governance and excellence owing to the developmental strides of the Governor across all facets of the state economy.

He commended the new AYF executive on their election and reminded them that true leadership involves not just vision, but also empathy and integrity hence the need for them to stand up for what they believe in, support one another and be the change-makers that drive progress and innovation.

In his address, the Anglican Bishop of Isiala Ngwa North, Rt. Rev. Temple Nwaogu called on the youths to eschew complacency, laziness and carefree attitude and challenged them to stand firm in the undiluted word of God.

In his welcome address, the Anglican Youth Fellowship President, Diocese of Isiala Ngwa, Mr Azubuine Chibuokem while commending Governor Alex Otti for his numerous giant strides across the state, described the theme of the conference, “STAND FIRM AND TAKE ACTION”, as apt considering the manner at which youths have deviated from the path of righteousness and indulged in fraudulent activities and other social vices.

Mr Azubuine disclosed that their vision is to raise a Godly generation that will be bold enough to carry the gospel of Jesus Christ across all nooks and crannies of the world as true ambassadors of Christ.

The youth conference which featured goodwill messages, prayers, bible quiz competition, attracted the presence of the Mayor of Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Sir Cyprian Nwankwo, Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Affairs, Comrade Onyebuchi Chukwu, a Commissioner in the Abia House of Assembly Service Commission, Chief Ihuoma Ezechimerem among other notable personalities.
