ABSG Partners Odio Odioku Cooperative Society Ltd, CBN, BOI; Recruit 100 Enumerators And Financial Inclusion Agents

Enumerators and financial inclusion agents newly recruited by Abia State Government in partnership with Odio Odioku Cooperative Society Ltd, Central Bank of Nigeria and Bank Of Industry have been tasked to promote the Central Bank cashless and digital economy policy by helping to sensitize the public and guide those who do not have bank accounts to have one.

Speaking during the event, Dr. Francis Origa who represented the Government and also doubles as the Coordinator of the Abia State Humanitarian Assisted Response (Governor’s Office), encouraged them to also identify and enlist those that genuinely require loans to grow their business which is expected to be disbursed within three weeks of being enlisted.

Hee appreciated Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for creating the platform that allows for Abians to benefit from Empowerment opportunities.

He pointed out that the engagement would help cushion the effect of economic hardship.

Origa commended the efforts of Odio Odioku Cooperative Society Ltd for the extending such partnership to the Abia State Government, especially the CEO Prince Atuma who has consistently ensured that Abia is not left out in various programmes.

The program which saw about 100 Abians recruited into the Enumerator/Financial Inclusion Agents, featured the selection and appointment of state and LGA Coordinators for the project.

Also, at the recruitment exercise at the Abia State Government House in Umuahia, the special Adviser to the Governor on Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Francis Origa handed over the ID cards, Tshirts and face cap of those who are shortlisted for the job.

It was also gathered that the project which is one of the partnership efforts under the Abia State Humanitarian Assisted Response of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu was initiated by his Special Adviser on Humanitarian Affairs, NGO Matters and Social, to help empower and engage Abians to be economically and financial relevant.

Also, it is on record that Odio Odioku Cooperative Society Ltd is one of the key leading partners of CBN, Bank of Industry and World Bank amongst other partners providing various Empowerment opportunities across Nigeria; the organization entered into partnership with Abia State Government to enable Abians to be part of different Empowerment projects that are genuinely going on in the country.
