Abia Lawmaker to set up business for indigent constituent, makes case for women empowerment

 

The Member representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Ugochukwu Iheonunekwu (OCHAKE), has promised to assist Mrs. Favour Alozie, who was spotted recently doing menial work in Umuahia, to start up a business.

Hon. Iheonunekwu broke the cheering news when he received in audience, Mrs Alozie at the state House of Assembly complex, Umuahia, also promised to offset the school fees of her children who have been out of school for a long time owing to her poor state of income and the disappearance of her husband.

Mrs. Favour Alozie, a mother of three, hails from Ntigha Umukalu in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of Abia State but married to Mr. Emeka Alozie from Anambra state whom for the past four months has deserted his family.

This initiative which is one out of the numerous humanitarian gestures Hon. Chief Collins Iheonunekwu has done, reflects his avowed commitment towards empowering his constituents and addressing their needs.

This also showcases a compassionate approach to leadership.
