by The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba has charged members of Ukwa La Ngwa Think-Tank Group to come up with laudable ideas that will help drive development across the Ukwa La Ngwa bloc and the state at large.
Pastor Ajagba who gave the charge at his residence in Umuahia during the meeting of Ukwa La Ngwa Think Tank group, Abia State chapter, stressed the need for them to get actively involved in purposeful leadership for the overall good and development of the people.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor while enumerating some of the laudable achievements of Governor Alex Otti including the construction and reconstruction of roads, prompt payment of workers salaries and pensions, improved educational standard, provision of quality healthcare service delivery, the clean and green initiative among others, also stressed the need for all hands to be on deck in order to give the right direction for the future generation.
In their speeches, the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Prince Okey Kanu and his Digital Economy and SME counterpart, Mr Mathew Ekwuruibe, while describing Governor Otti as a game changer and a seasoned administrator who’s developmental strides speaks volume in all sectors of the state economy, used the opportunity to clear the air on some critical issues as well as intimate the group on the numerous ongoing programs in their ministries.
Also speaking, the interim chairman, Ukwa LA Ngwa Think Tank Group, Abia State Chapter, Chief John Nwosu and Elder Kennedy Onyenma, said the essence of the meeting is to fashion out ways to drive development across the Ukwa La Ngwa bloc, give the upcoming generation the right sense of direction, bring the people of the area up to speed with the developmental agenda of the present administration and galvanize maximum support for the government of the day.
The meeting which attracted eminent personalities across Ukwa La Ngwa bloc, featured question and answer sessions, nomination of an interim chairman, secretary and publicity secretary for Abia State chapter of the group, prayers for the state government among others.
