Abia Govt To Distribute FG Fertilizer Palliatives To Farmers, Releases Timetable For LGAs Collections

ABIA – The Special Adviser to Abia State Governor on Policies and Interventions, the Rev Fr. Christian Anokwuru has announced the distribution of Federal Government Fertilizer Palliatives to farmers in rural and semi Urban areas in the state.

The Rev Fr. Anokwuru who made this known while briefing the press on the planned distribution, said Umuahia North, Umuahia South and Isialangwa South Local Government Areas will take their turn on Tuesday next week while that of Ohafia, Bende and Isialangwa North will be on Wednesday next week.

According to him, Thursday next week will be the turn of Ugwunagbo, Osisioma and Ukwa East while Isuikwuato, Umunneochi and Ukwa West will get theirs on Friday next week.

According to him, Saturday next week will be the turn of Arochukwu, Obingwa and Ikwuano Local Government Areas.

He said in recognition of the importance of Agriculture in the State’s economy, the state Government designed the distribution plan to support farmers in both rural and semi-rural areas.
