Abia Govt Restates Determination to Upgrade Infrastructure in BCA
ABIA – The State Government has restated its determination to upgrade the infrastructure at the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State (BCA).
The state Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Mr. Chaka Chukwumerije who stated this during a facility tour of the BCA, said government recognizes the role BCA play in promoting the policies and programmes of the present administration.
Mr. Chukwumerije disclosed that work will soon commence in the BCA especially the re-roofing of the Radio and Television Studios and the administrative building to give the station a befitting status.
Earlier while conducting the Commissioner round the BCA Premises, the Acting Director General of the BCA, Mr. Francis Nwaubani said staff of the Corporation find it difficult to do their job whenever it rains due to licking roof and appealed to the Commissioner to bring quality Architects from his Ministry to tackle the problem.
Mr. Nwaubani reiterated the commitment of the BCA in serving Abians better through publicizing the policies and programmes of the state government and thanked Mr. Chukwumerije for coming to see things for himself.
The Director, Public Building Management and Maintenance, Mr. Obasi Kelechi accompanied the Commissioner on the visit.
