Abia State Government says it is ever committed to supporting Micro Small and Medium Enterprises MSMEs, as part of its agenda to revitalizing businesses in the state.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade, Commerce, and Industry, Chief Nwaka Inem, who stated this during the Grand Finale of the three day “Aba Vendors Hub Trade Fair”, held in Osisioma Aba, said the administration of Governor Alex Otti is creating opportunities for entrepreneurs and providing the necessary infrastructure for their growth.

Chief Inem while noting the present administration’s efforts to enhancing business growth through increased exposure, security and provision of enabling environment for entrepreneurs to thrive, assured them of government’s efforts to exposing their talents to the world.

The Governor’s Aide, who was conducted round the venue of the event, in company of the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Adaeze Emetu, lauded the participants for their ingenuity and quality of the goods on display, expressing satisfaction with the products on display as they were made in Aba and encouraged small business owners to remain steadfast.

He used the opportunity to announce the upcoming Aba International Trade Fair, slated for November 28th to December 7th, 2024, and disclosed that the event is sponsored by the State Government in collaboration with the Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture.

The Special Adviser promised to offer another opportunity for MSMEs to gain wider exposure and encouraged the organizers and participants of the mini trade fair to collaborate and participate in the International Trade Fair as a group and jointly showcase their products to meet the expected higher standards assuring the states continuous support.

The Organizer of the Aba Vendors Hub Trade Fair, Mrs. Akudo Alozie while conducting the Governor’s Aide round the Trade Fair, noted that the three-day Trade Fair which kicked off on October 4th, provides a platform for startup businesses and entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services.

She said the event is an opportunity for small business owners to gain visibility, connect with potential customers, investors, and network with other business partners.
