by The Governor, Dr Alex Otti says his administration is committed to rewarding Abians and returning the state as number one in the comity of states.
Governor Otti who stated this when he received in Government House Umuahia, the executive of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria CCRN led by their immediate past Chairman, Mr Jude Okoye, maintained that he is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring even development across all sectors of the state economy.
The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba disclosed that as a practicing Christian, he understands that his coming onboard is a rare gift and that he is on a divine mission to change the negative narratives as well as make Abia the leading state in attracting both local and foreign investors and returning the glory of Aba as the industrial hub of the South East and beyond.
The State Chief Executive while pointing out that God uses human instruments to bring about any desired changes, also thanked the leadership of CCRN Aba Diocese for being part of the instruments God used in ensuring his overwhelming victory during the last general elections.
He assured them of his administrations commitments in bettering the lots of the citizenry and solicited their sustained support and prayers to enable his government actualize a new Abia everyone will be proud of.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Religious Affairs, Apostle Kenneth Wiper said the present administration recognizes and appreciates their support to the government of the day and enjoined them to remain resolute in their faith to the Dr Otti led administration in the state.
In his address earlier, the leader of the delegation and immediate past chairman of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Nigeria CCRN, Mr Jude Okorie while thanking God for delivering the state from the ruins occasioned by maladministration by previous governments, said they came to congratulate Governor Alex Otti on his overwhelming victory at the apex court as well as invite him to their Diocesan program slated to hold on the 10th of next month at C.K.C Aba.
Mr Okorie while commending the Governor for his numerous developmental strides across the state, also appealed to the state government to carry them along in their programs to enable them contribute their quota in the development of the state.
The meeting which had some top government officials in attendance featured prayers for Governor Otti, the state and presentation of a life-sized portrait of the governor and his wife.
