Aba And Abia Environs Now Wear A New Look – Aba Freelancers.
It is very pertinent to state here that despite the economic challenges, delays that accompanied the year 2020, it wasn’t an excuse for the Dr Okezie Ikpeazu led PDP administration in Abia State not to embark on trans-generational projects across every nook and cranny of the state.
After thorough findings, it was discovered that there are some rural developments that has not gotten required media attention.
Driving from umuahia to nkporo in Ohafia LGA isn’t that hectic as it used to be as the long forgotten area of the state have been given the required attention (pictorial evidence below).
Coming down to Aba after umuikaa, we saw a well constructed road from Aro Ngwa Axis to umuoko down to Obikabia Junction, this means that it has eased the traffic normally encountered at Osisioma junction.
Ururuka road has a new look too with lightenings, ukaegbu, umuola and Ehere roads has stood the test of time after 5 years of construction.
Osusu road that has been abandoned for decades has been constructed with rigid pavement from beginning to end (faulks road down to Ama ogbonna) and is currently undergoing asphalting.
Aba which for some years has looked more of a construction site is now more of a work in progress unlike what we see on social media critics.
The state government through the office of the First Lady, Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu Vicar Foundation has constructed over 182 houses (mostly bungalows) for widows, physically challenged persons as well as the less privileged.
Lastly, as we expect more from the state government, we applaud the developments we saw and encourage those in charge to take up more challenging responsibilities.
