The Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has given all illegal occupants of Enyimba Hotels premises Ogbor Hill Aba, forty-eight hours to vacate the premises or risk government sanction.
Speaking while addressing the illegal occupants of the hotel premises including trade-medical practitioners, mechanics, and other artisans, on Saturday, Governor Ikpeazu, through his Chief of Staff, Dr-acb Agbazuere frowned at the high level of environmental degradation.
He disclosed that their continued stay will create an insecure premise as well as deface the esthetics of the Enyimba city.
He revealed that the Enyimba hotels were handed over to the Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and agriculture, regretting that nothing has been done so far by ACIMA also warned that the government may be forced to withdraw the CofO if they fail to take full control of the hotel premises.
Responding, one of the illegal occupants of the hotel premises, Mr. Kingsley Nwankwo promised that they will evacuate the premises before the end of Monday next week.
The Permanent Secretary Government House, Mr. Alozie Odoemelam, Acting T. C Chairman of Aba North L.G. A, Mrs. Joy Iwuchukwu among other top government officials accompanied the Chief of Staff on the visit.
