Gov. Ikpeazu Lauds Hon. Ginger Onwusibe For Quality Representation

The Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has assured the Member representing Isiala Ngwa North State constituency in the Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Ginger Onwusibe of his support in delivering projects that impacts positively on his constituents. 

Governor Ikpeazu who gave the assurance at Mbawsi, Isiala Ngwa North LGA during  the 5th annual national convention of the Otawike Youth Initiative, a sociopolitical organization founded by Hon. Onwusibe, expressed happiness that Chief Ginger Onwusibe emerged as the member representing Isiala Ngwa North in the House of Assembly, reiterating that he is capable of attracting for his people all that they need through the State Assembly. 

The Governor further commended Chief Onwusibe for doing well for his people and congratulated the Otawike group for coming of age and for all that it has been able to achieve in the past 12 years of its existence, while enjoining them to remain resolute and committed in there support for the PDP and its avowed objective. 

The State Chief Executive also described the Chuku Wachuku Mini Stadium built by Chief Onwusibe as the  mark of the beginning of more projects in the LGA. 

He also used the forum to call on the people of Isiala Ngwa North to throw their weight  behind the PDP Local Government Chairmanship candidate of  Isiala Ngwa North, Hon. Chinwendu Ochulor in the LGA elections slated to hold this Friday, the 18th day of December. 

Earlier in their remarks, the Chairman on the occasion and Member representing Ohafia/Arochukwu Federal constituency, Hon. Uko Nkole and the member representing Isialangwa North/South  Federal constituency, Hon. Darlington Nwokocha urged the people to continue supporting Hon. Ginger Onwusibe noting that the party would have no opposition if his likes were to be replicated in PDP while  describing the Otawike group as grassroot oriented.

In his speech, the Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji called on all in leadership positions to assist the Governor in every little way they could as he alone cannot do everything  and congratulated Hon. Onwusibe for representing his people well. 

He disclosed that soon, Members of the State House of Assembly will start inviting the Governor to commission projects embarked upon by them. 

In his address, the host and Member representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, said that his vision in government is to bring development to his people and thanked the Governor for making the project a reality. 

According to Chief Onwusibe, within his one year period in the State House of Assembly, he has procured and installed 130 Solar systems, built 3 classroom blocks in addition to grading of rural roads in Isiala Ngwa North LGA among others. 

He thanked Governor Ikpeazu for awarding the Umueze/Ururuka Road as well as his caterpillar revolution across the length and breadth of the State.

Top dignitaries at the event include the Secretary to Abia State Government, Barrister Chris Ezem, Chairman of the council of Traditional Rulers,  Hrm Eze Joseph Nwabeke, his Deputy and Enachoken of Abiriba, Eze Kalu Kalu Ogbu, State Head of Service, Sir Onyii Wamah, Members of the State Assembly among others. 

The event also featured the presentation of awards to deserving Abians including Mr Ncheta Omerekpe, Hon. Uko Nkole, Sir Cyprian Nwankwo, Eric Opah, Dr Chima Anyaso, Elder J.O.C Nnaji, Johnson Uchechukwu among others.
