I Embarked On The Reconstruction Of The Aba-Ikot Ekpene Road Because Of It’s Economic Importance – Gov. Ikpeazu

The Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu says he embarked on the reconstruction of Aba-Ikot Ekpene road, though,a federal road because of its strategic importance to the economic growth of the state.
Governor Ikpeazu who Stated this while addressing residents of the area during his statewide Project inspection tagged”Kinetic Abia Project tour” noted that the road has been in diplorable state for many years,thus, adversely affecting commercial and economic activities in the area.
He said that due to the strategic importance of the road,he could no longer continue to wait for the federal government intervention.
On Emelogu road, the Governor noted that completion of the road project expecially the bridge linking Ngwa and Emelogu will help harness the full potential of commercial activities around the Ngwa road axis.
To that end, the Governor directed the contractor handling the Ngwa road bridge under reconstruction to spare no cost in correcting the mistakes that were earlier made on the bridge.
