The PDP flag bearer for Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency, Chief Collins Ugochukwu Iheonunekwu has commended the founder of TINA ATASIE FOUNDATION, Mrs Tina Atasie for her charity works and for using her foundation to better the lots of women in Isiala Ngwa North LGA.
Chief Iheonunekwu who made the commendation at Umuevuru Eziama Uratta in Isiala Ngwa North LGA during the commissioning of market stalls built by Mrs Atasie for the women of the area, described the gesture as a laudable project capable of attracting more infrastructural developments to the area.
The PDP Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency Hopeful while noting that women are veritable tools for community development also urged them to be committed to their divine roles in the family as well as remain supportive to the development of their community.
Chief Iheonunekwu further disclosed that the PDP led administration in the state under Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu has performed creditably and enjoined them to remain supportive to the party and continue galvanizing massive support towards actualizing total victory for the PDP at the polls.
Contributing, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Christopher Enweremadu represented by the Majority Leader, Isiala Ngwa North Legislative Council, Princess Bankaria Enweremadu while reaffirming that Isiala Ngwa North LGA is PDP and are fully poised to deliver all the PDP candidates in the 2023 general elections, also thanked Mrs Tina Atasie for her foresightedness, sustained support and commitment towards the development of her community and promotion of the womenfolk.
Earlier in her address, the founder of TINA ATASIE FOUNDATION, Mrs Tina Atasie said her foundation which is a non governmental and non profit making organization is solely committed to the development of women and indigent people, adding that the market stalls will not only aide the women in marketing their farm produce but will also boost business and economic growth of the area.
Mrs Atasie appreciated the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the state, Prof. Uche Ikonne, the PDP candidate for Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency, Chief Collins Iheonunekwu, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Christopher Enweremadu among others for their sustained support to the foundation and promised to continue embarking on projects that will benefit the people directly.
In a vote of thanks, the village Chairman of Umuevuru Eziama Uratta, Mr Hyacinth Albert Nwaiwu thanked Mrs Tina Atasie for her giant strides within and outside the community and prayed God to continue to bless her.
The event which featured the dedication of the market stalls, prayers for Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu and all PDP candidates attracted the presence of the members of Isiala Ngwa North Youth Congress led by their President, Engr. Chuks Njoku, the leader of the Isiala Ngwa North Legislative Council, Hon. Chimaobi Alozu, PDP stakeholders among other notable personalities.
