The Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has presented keys to brand new Sports Utility Vehicles to some Commissioners in the state to aid them in the discharge of their duties.
Speaking while handing over the vehicles at Government House Umuahia, Dr Ikpeazu said the gesture is in appreciation of the quality services being rendered to the state by the commissioners and a way of encouraging them.
The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Chief Okey Ahiwe while commending the Commissioners for being alive to their responsibilities also urged them to put the vehicles into good use.
Responding on behalf of his colleagues, the Commissioner for Inter Governmental Affairs, Prince Obinna Okey appreciated the state government for the wonderful gesture adding that it will ginger them to continue to perform optimally.
The Commissioner for Documentation and Strategic Communication, Mr Ugochukwu Emezue, Permanent Secretary Government House Umuahia, Mr Alozie Odoemela among other top government officials witnessed the handover ceremony.
