WORLD CLEAN-UP DAY: SOSOCARE Nigeria Advocates for a Cleaner and Healthier Environment

The Head of Facility, SOSOCARE Nigeria, Mr Faithful Offor has called on Abians and its residents to maintain a clean and healthy environment.

Mr. Offor who made the call at Isi-Gate Umuahia, in commemoration of this year’s World Cleanup Day campaign, said that SOSOCARE is out to savage the issues bothering on public health and environmental pollution.

He noted that healthy living and clean environment is a collective responsibility and advised the public, government, NGOs and other relevant authorities to keep the State clean.

In her remarks, the Head of Business and Commercial Growth, SOSOCARE, Ezinne Emele, stated that the organization is committed to promoting public health and conducive environment for economic activities to thrive, and harped on the need to sensitize the people on the importance of environmental health and general wellbeing.

Contributing, a medical practitioner, Dr Obi-Ekekwe Chisomebe commended the efforts of SOSOCARE in creating awareness for a clean and sustainable environment, and called on the public to take their health seriously.

In his message, an officer with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC, Mr. Dennis Ibenye, who disclosed that plans are underway to sanction those littering the environment, commended the organization for their commitment and consistency in promoting public health, providing free medical services, among others.
