ABIA – The state Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Mr. Kingsley Nwokocha has assured of the State Government’s commitment in bringing positive transformation and peace in various markets of the State.

Mr. Nwokocha who stated this during a familiarization meeting with the National Palm Produce Association of Nigeria, (The Good Shade Palm Oil Market) Executive, noted that the only way businesses can thrive, increase in generated revenue and economic growth of the State sustained, is when there is peace in the market and in the State .

The Commissioner who affirmed that palm oil production in the State will be given a good landing platform to thrive, as it is the desire of the Governor Dr Alex Otti to see that agriculture becomes a good avenue to generate revenue for the state, and pointed out that the collection of revenue in the state is a must.

He encouraged the executive to see that revenue due for the Government and the Ministry is collected, properly documented and sent due accounts for documentation.

In a vote of thanks, the Chairman of the National Oil Produce Association of Nigeria, Mr. Chimaraoke Ukegbu noted that the Good Shade Oil Market is contributing its quota in the development of the state by creating and generating revenue as at when due.

He assured the Commissioner for Trade and Commerce that the Good Shade Market will be providing proof of every payment made in the market and thanked Governor Otti for keeping to his campaign promises to Abians.
