The Member representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Collins Ugochukwu Iheonunekwu has again, through his ongoing OCHAKE SUPPORT SCHEME given out cash support to widows in Umunachi Ihie in Isiala Ngwa North LGA.
Hon. Iheonunekwu while appreciating his constituents for their sustained show of love, support and solidarity to him, disclosed that the gesture is his way of giving back to them as well as measures to cushion the harsh economic realities on the people.
The State lawmaker while describing the women as critical stakeholders who’s roles in community building cannot be overemphasized, assured them of quality and effective representation as well as better days ahead.
In their speeches earlier, the Chairman of Umunachi Ihie Village Council, Mr. Nnamdi Ogbuanu Howell and the Chairperson of Umunachi Ihie Women association, Pastor Mrs Onyinyechi David, described Hon. Chief Collins Ugochukwu Iheonunekwu as a kind-hearted man and one that possesses the qualities of a true leader.
The visibly elated beneficiaries of the OCHAKE SUPPORT SCHEME thanked Hon. Iheonunekwu for being a strong pillar of support to them and prayed God to continue to keep, bless and give him more wisdom and strength to continue piloting the affairs of the Constituency effectively.
You will recall that the state lawmaker has within the past few weeks, through the OCHAKE SUPPORT SCHEME, given out One Million Naira to 200 indigent widows drawn from the 184 wards in Isiala Ngwa North LGA irrespective of party affiliations.
