Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, visited Benin City, the Edo State capital, to rally support for Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate, Barr. Olumide Akpata and his running mate, Prince Yusulf Asamah Kadiri.

“We are here to support the decision you’ve already made—to vote for Olumide Akpata and Kadiri. Your choice is the right one.”

He criticized current leaders, saying, “Edo State must not be left to those who are squabbling among themselves, as they may end up taking what is rightfully ours.”

The Governor urged voters to safeguard their ballots. “My challenge to you, especially the youth, is to stay vigilant on September 21st.

After casting your vote, you must remain to protect it. A vigilant person prevents their property from being stolen.”

He promised that the Labour Party would safeguard votes and ensure accurate results.

“We will protect your votes, but you must do so at the polling units. Then you can leave the rest to us.”

Governor Otti assured Edo residents of Labour Party’s commitment to improving their lives.

“We are here with a serious agenda. The strategy we’ve applied in Abia will be implemented in Edo State. This plan is focused on the people, not the elites.”

Joining the Governor were Labour Party Caretaker Committee Secretary, Sen. Darlington Nwaokocha, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba PhD, Special Adviser on Political Affairs Hon. Iheanacho Obioma, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Uzor Nwachukwu, and other senior aides.
