Al Ahli Close to Securing Deals for Toney and Osimhen
Saudi Pro League club, Al Ahli is poised to announce two major signings, both of whom were targets for Chelsea this summer.
After finalizing an agreement with Napoli for Victor Osimhen, Al Ahli has reportedly reached a comprehensive deal with Ivan Toney and his representatives. The English striker is set to join the Saudi side on a three-year contract, according to Fabrizio Romano on X.
Chelsea had considered Toney as a backup option if their bid to sign Osimhen fell through. However, it seems the Premier League club will miss out on both forwards.
“Medical tests for Toney are scheduled, and Brentford will receive £40 million,” Romano added.
Romano also noted that “despite a completed deal between Napoli and Al Ahli, Victor Osimhen has yet to give his final approval.”
French outlet L’Equipe confirmed Al Ahli’s agreement with Brentford, valuing Toney’s transfer at €42 million.
“Toney has accepted the offer, but Al Ahli is still waiting for Osimhen’s final decision,” the report added.
While Al Ahli has secured deals with both strikers, Osimhen’s final commitment remains pending.
