Abia NUJ Condoles The Family Of Their Fallen Colleague, Describes Onoh’s Death As Unfortunate

The Nigerian Union of Journalist, Abia state Council, has condoled the family of Late Benjamin Onoh on the sudden death of the Journalist.

Speaking during a condolence visit to the family of the deceased in Umuahia, the NUJ State Council Chairman, Comrade Victor Ndukwe who led other Executive Members of the Union to the Residence of the deceased, described the death of Mr Benjamin Onoh as very shocky and unfortunate.

Comrade Ndukwe who described the late Benjamin Onoh as one of agile and bold Journalist in the Council who have exceptional passion for the job, regretted that Members will miss him for his always availability and determination.

He noted that the late Journalist died at his prime life, regretting that a big vacuum has been created both in his family, the Ministry of information, his office of primary assignment, at the NUJ and his lhechiowa Community.

The State NUJ Council Chairman however advised the late Onoh family, especially the widow, Mrs Onoh not to mourn like those without hope and prayed God to console the children and all affected by the death of the Journalist.

Narrating the incident to NUJ delegates, Mrs Onoh disclosed that her husband who returned home after his duties, last week Monday met his death in the middle of the night in a mysterious circumstance, describing his exit as devastating and heartbreaking to the family.

She appreciated the NUJ for the visit and show of concern, solicited their cooperation during the time of the burial and promised to furnish the Union with the burial arrangement in due course.

Highlight of the condolence visit was a special prayer made for the family by the State Council Vice Chairman, Comrade Chidi Asonye.
