I’m Not Reneging On My Promise Of Prioritizing The Development Of Abia – Gov. Otti

Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti says his administration is not reneging on its promise of prioritizing the development of the state.

Governor Otti who stated this when he received the executive of Anambra State Union, Umuahia Branch in Government House Umuahia, disclosed his commitment in making Abia a strong economic hub through the ongoing Abia Industrial Innovation Park, AIIP project, in the nearest future.

The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba while disclosing that a total of six roads have been commissioned in Aba by his administration with more under construction, noted that serious work is ongoing on the Aba-Portharcourt axis of the Enugu-PortHarcourt express way with an assurance that one lane of the road will be ready for use by the end of the month.

He commended the union for their unwaivering support and firm believe in his administrations capacity to change the negative narratives for the better and urged them to ensure regular payment of their taxes to enable government continue to serve them better.

In his address earlier, the President, Anambra State Union, Umuahia Branch, Chief Joseph Akwuobi described the union as the largest state union in Umuahia and commended Governor Otti for his numerous developmental strides across the state including the award for the reconstruction of Portharcourt road Aba to Julius Berger, expansion of Ossah – Okpara Square road Umuahia into six lanes, clean and green initiative, groundbreaking of AIIP at Owaza and provision of patrol vehicles to security agencies.

He appealed to the state government to carry them along in their programs.

In a vote of thanks, the president emeritus of the union, Chief Benjamin Atuka restated their resolve to continue to contribute to the progress and development of the state as well as thanked the Governor for living up to expectation.
