The Chief of Staff to Abia State Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba has stressed the need for christians to be actively involved in politics in order to correct the errors of the past.
Pastor Ajagba who made his feelings known at the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International, Aba Corporate Chapter, while speaking on the theme, ” Christianity and Active Political Participation”, encouraged them to belong to political parties, engage in active politics in order to change the negative narratives.
According to him, God is positioning men in the state with Governor Alex Otti who has continued to show passion and commitment in redefining governance and repositioning the state on the map of socio economic development.
He noted that the numerous developmental strides of the present administration is a reflection of what their faith has brought, and enjoined all to rediscover their divine purpose in life and work towards actualizing it.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor further commended the fellowship for being at the forefront of building a community of men of influence, policy makers and good leaders that have the interest and wellbeing of the masses at heart.
In his opening speech, the President, Aba Corporate Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International, Deacon Paschal Kalu said the fellowship is focused on equipping men to be spiritual leaders in their homes, church and communities, as well as to teach and encourage married men to love their wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her.
Our Correspondent reports that the breakfast meeting which attracted notable personalities featured prayers for the state government, question and answer sessions among others.
