by A former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Bello Maitama Yusuf is dead.
Yusuf, a former senator from 1999-2007 died in the early hours of Friday in Kano at the age of 76.
Confirming the death, a family friend of the deceased, Alhaji Hussaini Dalhatu, said that the funeral prayer of the Sardauna Dutse would take place after Jumu’at prayer at the Emir of Kano’s palace.
Bello Maitama Yusuf, born in Gwaram, Jigawa State in 1947, was minister of interior in 1981 and minister of commerce in 1982.
