The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited announced on Saturday that approximately 300 trucks have been positioned at the Dangote Refinery, ready for petrol loading scheduled for Sunday.

Crystal News previously reported that the initial petrol load will begin at the Dangote Refinery on Sunday.

Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC, shared the update on X, stating:

“NNPC Ltd. trucks are arriving at the Dangote Refinery to prepare for the petrol loading set for Sunday, September 15, 2024.

By the end of today, at least 300 trucks will be stationed at the refinery’s loading gantry.”

NNPC further confirmed the mobilization of trucks for the loading event.

“In advance of the Dangote Refinery’s petrol loading scheduled for Sunday, September 15, 2024, NNPC Ltd. has been dispatching trucks to the fuel loading gantry in Ibeju-Lekki.

As of Saturday afternoon, over 100 trucks were deployed, with many more on their way,” NNPC Ltd. announced on X.

Earlier, Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Group, revealed the start of fuel production at the refinery.
