A 21- man joint Aba Trade Fair committee has been inaugurated with a charge on them to organize a credible and successful 2024 Aba International Trade Fair program in the state.

Speaking shortly after inaugurating the committee at Government House Umuahia, Governor Alex Otti stressed the need for them to bring their vast wealth of experience to bare in other to achieve the desired goal.

The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba while explaining the commitment and importance his administration attaches to Trade and Commerce, disclosed that the trade fair will offer producers resident in the commercial city of the state the opportunity to attract international recognitions as well as create the right platform for foreigners to see what Aba people can produce for export.

The State Chief Executive while noting the rapid boost both the Agricultural and Commercial sectors in the state have been experiencing since the inception of his administration, reiterated his commitment to ensuring even development across all facets of the state economy in line with his vision of establishing a responsive, efficient and accountable government.

He further disclosed that products made in any nation and rightly packaged restores confidence, respect and national pride as well as provides an opportunity for the producers to display their creative ingenuity and competitive spirit which are integral factors in innovation, growth and development.

Responding, the Joint committee chairman of the 2024 Aba Trade Fair and Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade, Commerce and Industry, Chief Nwaka Inem assured the Governor that they will work to deliver on the mandate given to them in a way that the trade fair will announce the return of economic activities in the once boisterous commercial city.

Other Members include, Mr Dodoh Okafor, Miss Ure Abasie, Agbonma Ukaobasi, Mr Ogbonna Chidobe, Mrs Ekanem Esther, Mrs Lucky Nmeregini and Mr Uche Ukeje.

Others are, Mazi Jude Nwosu, Cletus Ekpo, Ekene Enukeme, Ekene Okpalaezinne, Chief Joseph Ogwo, Dozie Okoroama and Sir James Ikoro.

The rest are, Lady Chinyere Ogalabu, Marcellus Ezeh, Sir Chris Agbo, Clinton Chukwueke, Chief Odinaka Udeze and Franklin Johnson.

The President, Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture ACCIMA, Mr Geoffrey Uzoagbara among other top government officials witnessed the inauguration.
